Riverside ~ Visitors Welcome!Welcome to the City of Riverside— a community nestled along the beautiful banks of the silent and swift Missouri River. You'll love our pioneering spirit and fierce independence. Our small town feel, proximity to the core of KC, and scenic natural beauty create a mix of characteristics and amenities that are not found elsewhere.
Convenient Access to the Kansas City Metro Area
E.H. Young Riverfront Park, located on the banks of the Missouri river, sits on Lewis and Clark's expedition trail. This stunning green area has wide-open spaces and includes a brick river-walk, several playgrounds, a paved walking trail, ball fields, pavilions and more. Renner Brenner Park is the site of significant Indian artifacts and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Its unusually rich concentration of ancient Indian artifacts was the motivation for a 13-year excavation. Read more about it in City History. Homestead Park is Riverside's oldest park. This friendly neighborhood park features two outdoor basketball courts and a playground.
